Preparing for 2013 Busfusion!
I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to join the folks at Busfusion this year and play some good old Grateful Dead around the grounds as a way of promoting different events throughout the day! This will be my first year visiting this great gathering of VW camper folks and I couldn’t be more excited! I am working on a poster and some great acoustic tunes.

May 4th Rainbow show with Scarlet Jam!
I am currently playing with another band called Scarlet Jam. This project is a full on jam band complete with B3 organ, two guitar players, bass and drums! We recently played our first gig at Ottawa’s Rainbow Bistro in the Byward Market. Thanks to all who made it out! We are scheduled to play again in July and hope to have some new tunes polished up for you!

Great time at the Gaia Java!
It was a fantastic night of music last night. Our thanks to an incredible crowd and our generous hosts at the Gaia Java Coffee Company!
We hit the ground running and played a single monster set – 25 songs – 2 hours and 15 minutes non-stop! While we were exhausted by the end – the feedback from the audience was worth every drop of sweat!
Due to some technical glitches I was only able to get 18 minutes of the night recorded but I was able to make a short video to give you a taste of what you missed

West End Gig Confirmed
jkstraw and Matty Dougan will hit the strings around 7:00 pm March 22nd, 2013.
Located in Stittsville, ON, the Gaia Java Coffee Company hosts Friday music nights. This intimate venue is fantastic for checking out local musicians and serves up a great cup of java and tasty treats too!

West End Gig
jkstraw and Matty Dougan have secured a gig tentatively booked for March 22nd, 2013. An intimate venue located in village of Stittsvile – just west of Ottawa.
The Gaia Java Coffee Company hosts a Friday night music night and will be welcoming us for an evening of acoustic music. We are really looking forward to a fun evening of acoustic jamming to some great old time, folk and traditional americana. Come on out grab a great cup of joe and and join us!

Early February and Matty Dougan and jkstraw have decided to take their material on the road for audiences in the Ottawa area.
